The House of Tartan - 2 Day Kilt Workshop

A Kilt is a work of Art
The ancient art of kilt creation is highly infectious and makes this workshop memorable and a pleasure for everyone.
The days runs from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., with a short break for lunch.
Tea, coffee and a light morning and afternoon tea will be provided, however participants will need to bring their own lunch.
The total cost includes the following:
- 2 days tuition
- Kilt kit including materials and equipment required during the lesson
- Morning and afternoon tea
2 Day Workshop:
During these 2 days you will learn about the kilt and the tartan.
You will produce a wonderful piece of wearable work to be proud of.
Your very own full regulation size kilt.
Heather from House of Tartan will demonstrate the bespoke tailoring, main stitches and techniques used in the construction of the traditional kilt.
She will oversee your kilt’s journey; from measuring to cutting, to the first pleat, final stitches, adding buckles, pressing and finally the fitting.
Sharing tricks of the trade learnt during her many long years tailoring traditional kilts in Australia for the Australian Army.
