This lady recently decided she doesn’t like sleeping alone. Now, before I go on sharing about this with y’all, please know - I’m just a hot mess mom who managed to get something right one time. As a mom I found myself torn between wanting to coddle and comfort my gal and teach her that she can do hard things on her own. After about a week in my bed, followed by a week of half nights in my bed, one brand new bunk bed, and one hair brained idea of mine later she’s been sleeping in her bed for a week! While laying in bed one night, her feet planted firmly in my back and her head in the middle of my husbands I had an idea to try and make this little jar of fairy lights that she keeps in bed. An idea born from me but something easy enough for her to construct herself and take ownership of.

Call me crazy - but I like the Top 9 trend. I’ve done it every year for at least the past four years. It’s easy to get caught up feeling like you’re on the hamster wheel of life - looking back on these helps me to see that all the struggle I faced, wasn’t in vain. Despite the hard times and the things that make us feel like we can’t go on.... we blossom anyway - and sometimes, a reminder of that is just what we all needed! 2020 Ayyyyyyyy 2021, let’s go!
